On 03 February 2012, the wife and I were invited to spend the night at the Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah. The area in and around Zermatt reminds me of Germany and Switzerland..such attention to detail in the appearance and care of the surroundings, and what a fantastic place to spend a few days during the Winter season.
The rooms at Zermatt are huge suites, with two separate bathing areas (and sinks): one for her and one for him, hot-tubs/swimming pools, gas fireplace, balcony and a spa for the ladies (facials, massages, etc.).
At any rate, at 0700 on 04 Feb (Sat), we departed the Resort for Daniels Summit Lodge. Early morning temperatures were easily below 12F and any exposed skin would be subject to rapid frost-bite. We were glad to have brought all our extreme cold temperature gear with us.
We warmed up the snowmobiles and sped up the mountain. Sadly, the lack of heavy snow made riding the sleds a bit boring as most of the trails were either groomed or hard packed due to heavy traffic on the mountain.
